PPS is a semi-crystalline high-performance polymer with aromatic rings and sulfur bonds, possessing extraordinary thermal and chemical stability. It can withstand continuous service temperatures of 240-260 °C. It can be molded without melting but requires stabilization against oxidation. It provides metal replacement in pump bodies, hot fluid components, and electrical-electronic connectors.
